Sensing Feeling deploys 'First of a Kind'
Tresspass Reduction System on the UK rail network
Trespassing on the railway is illegal, dangerous and can lead to life-ending or life-changing injuries, as well as heartache, trauma, and harm to family, friends and rail staff. These incidents cause major disruptions to the travelling public through delays, which according to the UK Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) costs the industry over £50M every year – and the number of trespass incidents is increasing year on year.
At Sensing Feeling we’ve been working with UK rail infrastructure owner Network Rail, to apply our smart sensing technology to help deter and detect trespassing on the railway.
We’re proud to announce that this month we deployed our highly innovative Trespass Reduction & Deterrence System – TREDS – on the UK rail network to help solve this problem.
About our solution
Our Trespass Reduction & Deterrence System (TREDS) solution utilises our advanced, ‘SensorMAX’ IoT sensing software to perform real-time detection of trespassing incidents, generating alerts and deterrence warnings to enable rail staff and security personnel to carry out effective responses and interventions to trespassing incidents at the times and places that they occur.
